Carpet Cleaning
What method do you use to clean carpet and why?

We use a method called hot water extraction with is commonly referred to as steam cleaning.  This method is recommended by most carpet manufacturers.  We utilize truck and trailer mounted cleaning units.

How often do I need to get my carpets professionally cleaned?

We recommend having your carpets professionally cleaned every 12-18 months.  This varies based on traffic, pets and age of household members.  Many carpet manufacturers require professional cleaning to maintain the warranty.  Remember to save your cleaning receipts!

Is professional carpet cleaning expensive?

The cost of professional cleaning is more cost effective and less time consuming than replacing carpet.  Call us for an estimate based on the square footage of the rooms you want cleaned.

How long will it take my carpet to dry after it has been cleaned?

Drying time can vary depending on carpet type, how soiled the carpet is prior to cleaning, and weather factors such as humidity and temperature.  Most carpets will be dry in four to six hours.

Will there be an odor after my carpet is cleaned?

Depending on the type of carpet we’re cleaning, you may notice a faint scent. This is especially prevalent when cleaning wool carpets. The amount of time it takes for the odor to dissipate is ususally with the hour but varies based on air circulation, heat and humidity.  A big difference in the way ServiceMaster by Texas Best cleans carpet compared to many of our competitors is that we do not put soap in our rinse water. We pre-spray the carpets, remove the spots, then use clean water extraction, ensuring we do not leave any soapy residue behind. This allows for fresh, clean carpets.

Do I need to do anything prior to the technician arriving for my scheduled service?

We ask that you pick up items from the area to be cleaned such as rugs, plants and trash cans.  Please also sweep or vacuum the area to be cleaned.
